This is the only remains of the World War 2 Anti-Boat Boom.  This is the northern portion of this anti-boat boom.  The large concrete pillar, shown in the images at the end of pillars,   formed the anchor point for the anti-torpedo nets which were strung across Mortimer’s Deep from Charles Hill to Inchcolm.
